Black Creek Pioneer Village Wedding Guide

This album spread features a series of Black Creek Pioneer Village wedding pictures of the bride and groom in various poses. Please visit

Many couples squeeze too many events on the wedding day and they end up running from one place to the other. The big day usually starts with the bride preparation, moving to the church or the venue to attend the wedding ceremony, then heading to the gardens for the photo session. The banquet Hall reception becomes the only time when the couple can actually enjoy themselves among their guests. In a quest to photograph at multiple locations, often couples transform wedding photography into a race against the clock... but I digress.

The picture on the left and the largest in this album spread, shows a happy bride laughing hysterically while the room is looking at her. He's leaning against a wooden post at the Dominion Carriage Works Building. What makes this picture special, is the double layer nature of the image.  In the foreground, the bride slightly out-of-focus, why in the groom, in the background looks very content. As a side note, the Dominion Carriage Works building was built in the 1860s and was moved to the Black Creek Pioneer Village in 1973.  It is one of the most photographed buildings in the complex due to its red walls, which make it a perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The second picture in this series shows a happy couple gesticulating happily and posing for the camera.

The next photo a features the bride and groom standing in a romantic pose. The third wedding photo is one worth of being featured as a cover of a magazine.  The couple, placed on the right of the frame, is beautifully balanced by the white wooden window on the left, creating a diagonal, that gives the picture dynamism. Finally, the sixth image in the series depicts the bride and groom kissing passionately.
