Black Creek Pioneer Village Wedding Guide

As a Toronto Wedding photographer, I have the privilege to document the birth of many families. As such,  when the events unfold, I am always looking for timeless pictures. Sometimes I get lucky. Fortunately, in this Black Creek Pioneer Village wedding album spread, I was fast enough to catch two emotional moments.

In the image on the left, one can see the bride's mother accompanied by her sister. On the left-hand side of the photo, out of focus, the sister of the bride is looking at the Mother. The scene is unveiling in a kitchen, and the backdrop is not spectacular. A few guests were drinking champagne right behind me and the bridal party was enjoying this big day. Finally, the beautiful bride was getting ready for her wedding ceremony while the groom was already the at the venue entertaining the guests. Still, what makes this photo special is the emotion in the shot. The Mother is wiping a tear. As a father, I can relate to that, and I know thirty years from now the value of this photo will be infinite. Such is the importance of our job as wedding photographers. To emphasize the importance of this picture, it occupies a large part of the spread.

In the shot on the right-hand side of the spread, we can see the bride hugging her makeup artist. Seemingly contradictory, the scene becomes clear once you know the story behind it. The bride's makeup artist is also her best friend from childhood. While the pictures are by definition static, in this shot we can almost see the bride move. Also, her friend's joy is apparent by the way she looks at the bride.

Engagement Photo Session

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the engagement session in building a relationship between the couple and the wedding photographer. We shot the bride and groom's engagement session on multiple days at various locations.

Because the couple was so familiar with me, they were comfortable in front of my camera on their big day starting from the bride's preparation, containing with the wedding ceremony, the photo session and ending with the wedding reception.

Location: 1000 Murray Ross Pkwy, North York, ON M3J 2P3.
